Such a great conversation with Fernando Uribe of Quickride! It was his first-time attending and exhibiting at Digital Dealer. Quickride is software that helps dealers take control back with their shuttle service.
The traditional way shuttle service works is when a customer wants a ride, they fill out a form explaining where they want to go and wait for the shuttle to get back. Don’t know when exactly that will be, but when it does they get on with just them or more customers and the driver has to figure out where everyone is going and then plan the route and put destinations in the navigation.
Our solution digitizes it and makes it a really easy process for the Service Advisor to create a ride, for the driver to know who is next in what order without having to do anything and of course for the customer to be able to see where the driver is, how long it is going to get to them. “Pretty much giving the whole shuttle service a makeover!” While cutting down on any customer anxiety and allows the customer to service a little further out.
Quickride is a web app so the customer doesn’t have to download anything. They receive a text message when a ride request is completes and another text to notify when their shuttle has arrived. Kind of like Uber, this web app shows a map of where the shuttle is and what time they will be picked up. They can also contact the driver or cancel the ride straight from the web app.
Fernando says when looking into the future of dealerships, “in the next 2-3 years due to the sales side margin compression the dealer is/needs to focus on the service side. So how do we make that a fully effiecent and optimized. Whats the customer experience like? Those are going to be the difference maker between the customer going to maybe a Mom & Pop repair shop vs. coming to the dealership. Those are what is going to bring them in the door & keep that closed loop and keep them coming over and over again.”
